Emergency Care at Three Rivers Medical Center

When life takes an unexpected turn, having local access to emergency care can bring a sense of reassurance. Our Emergency Department is prepared to care for people experiencing a range of emergency conditions, offering thoughtful, skilled support to individuals and families throughout our community during challenging moments.

In 2025, Three Rivers Medical Center’s Chest Pain Center was granted a full three-year accreditation by the American College of Cardiology. This means that we have demonstrated commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a wide set of criteria. As an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center, we have achieved a higher level of expertise when caring for patients who arrive with heart attack symptoms.

At Three Rivers Medical Center, we provide 24/7 emergency care, including 24/7 emergency general surgery coverage. Urology, gastroenterology, and orthopedic surgical support is also available through on-call providers.

Our Emergency Department is staffed by professionals trained in the evaluation and treatment of emergency conditions. Working together with our nursing staff, surgical teams, and telemedicine specialists, the department focuses on offering a steady, informed, and supportive experience for patients and their loved ones throughout their visit.

When to Go to the ER: Know the Signs

Some health concerns can be managed in a clinic or at home, but certain symptoms may signal a more serious condition that should be evaluated right away. Situations involving sudden, severe, or concerning changes—such as head injuries, high fevers, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or signs of stroke—often need prompt medical

attention.
